Today we welcomed Skye and fur-mummy Nicky to the voluntary team here at John Eastwood Hospice. Skye was rescued by The Edward Foundation and adopted by Nicky who registered Skye with Pets as Therapy. Pets as Therapy dogs are recognised by the Royal College of Nursing and welcomed by medical authorities in many areas as it is understood that this brings happiness and pleasure to people of all ages. The Charity Wedding Dinner & Dance- Raising funds for John Eastwood Hospice & Princess Evie's Trust. The Oakham Suite Mansfield 20th January 2018 Ladies have you ever wanted to wear your wedding dress again? Well now you can. Its time to dust those dresses off ladies and dig those suits back out men. Join us for our charity wedding dinner & dance. We invite brides,grooms, partners & the bridal party for an evening of food, dancing, photo opportunities and great prizes to be won & auctioned on the night. Dress code: Formal, Wedding dress, Bridesmaid dresses & Suits. If you've never been married before no problem, you could hire, borrow or find a dress / suit in a charity shop or wear a ball gown that could pass as a wedding gown. The evening will include a sit down 3 course meal, entertainment throughout the night sponsored by Stardust entertainment, with a special guest appearance from Miss Mansfield Chloe-Rose Adkin. We will also have a photobooth with the chance to purchase the photos taken for a small fee. This is a ticket only event with limited numbers. Tickets are now on sale! £35 per person £340 for a table of 10 Adults only. Secure tickets now for £10 non refundable deposit.

Did you know that the Hospice has 3 support groups; located in Bilsthorpe, Edwinstowe and Warsop? Each support group works within their community to organise fundraising events in which the proceeds are donated to the Hospice. Below is Edwinstowe support group presenting their annual donation, this year they have a given an amazing £7000. Pictured is Chair, Phil Robinson, Treasurer Julie Scotney along with Tracey Wilson and all members of the support Group.
